SYNOPSIS

A gritty Northern English working class tale of addiction, loss and overcoming odds. Loveable rogue Pete navigates early adulthood, struggling to find work and engaging in petty crime with his friend John. His life begins to spiral out of control through drinking and substance abuse, all the while attempting to woo Stacey. Some devastating news causes him to hit rock bottom and from there he attempts to turn his life around.

SOUND DESIGN

The location sound was recorded in sometimes less-than-ideal circumstances, so there was a lot of work in cleaning up and mixing the dialogue. Ambiences and sound effects fill out the scenes and support the story. For the most part the style is rooted in realism, but there are some nightmare sequences where we utilised some horror style sound design.
