SYNOPSIS
We learn about how Lumos has supported the work of organisations in two countries: Bulgaria and Colombia.
In Bulgaria, they helped facilitate the movement of children from an institution to family-based care. In Colombia, Fundamor work with HIV positive and other health compromised children, helping to reintegrate them back into the community.
SCORE
As we move between Europe and South America, the key was to incorporate something of the flavour of each region but also ensure that there was a cohesive sound. There are a lot of warm, inviting tones, reflecting the fact that we are dealing with vulnerable children. For the Colombia sections we utilised instruments such as marimba.
